Hi Daniel,

I have a feature request I was wondering if you might implement. At present, the images returned for latex statements have no alt attributes. If there were a way to strip out any formatting information from the latex so it’s just the expression, could that be placed in an alt tag so that content would be available to search engines and screen readers, and would be visible if the image failed to load?

k holds an integer, and it is recalculated by looking at the each character from the beginning given p. (*p) tells you the character’s ASCII code and ’0′ as well. The difference gives the actual integer number. k*10 is shifting of previous value.

For example, if p is given by “425″,

The first calculation of k = 0*10 + (*p) – ’0′ = 0 + 52-48 = 4
The next calculation of k = 4*10 + (*p) – ’0′ = 40 + 50 – 48 = 42
The final calculation of k = 42*10 + (*p) – ’0′ = 420 + 53-48 = 425

Character ASCII code of “4″ is 52, “2″ is 50, “5″ is 53, and “0″ is 48.

mathTeX's ISP no longer permits "dreamhost" subdomains.
That means your tags of the form

will not work after November 30, 2011.
Change them all to

That is, just remove the “dreamhost.” from all tags. That works right now.
To repeat, the address of the public mathTeX server is now
http://www.forkosh.com/mathtex.cgi
so write tags of the form

I’ve just copied the parch into the source folder and execute the patch 0001-vmwaretool-vmci-Linux-2.6.37.patch but got this line errors:

0001-vmwaretool-vmci-Linux-2.6.37.patch:42 : trailing withespace
static long vmci-ioctl(struct file *file)
error: patch failde: shared/compat_semaphore.h:28
error: share/compat_semaphore.h: patch does not apply
error: vmci_drv.c: No such file or directory

executing 0001-vmwaretool-vmhgfs-Linux-2.6.37.patch got this error:

erro: patch failed: super.c:70
error: super.c: patch does not apply

My configuration:

HOST OS :Mac OsX 10.6.8
GUEST OS : Backtrack 5 kernel 2.6.38
Vmware 4.0.2 (491587)
