  1. Click start menu
  2. Click “Run…”
  3. Enter “msconfig” and hit return
  4. Click “Startup” tab
  5. Scroll down to “GoogleUpdate”
  6. Uncheck the box
  7. Click “Apply”

I cannot believe there is no option in chrome browser. Looks it is still beta.
