Typical scam for apt/housing in craigslist.

I don’t know why there are bad people out there, but the thing is that they are near by us. I can’t believe it.

I have been searching an apartment to move out next term through the craigslist, and found several fancy and nice place where was provided with unbelievable cheap price. One condo had three bed rooms and everything we need and it was only $900 in San Diego. Amazing. But, there was no contact information in the ad. So, I clicked the mail address and dropped a line to him/her. And, the returned mail is typical scam, which makes me very disappointed. I was expecting and exciting to see the apartment and if possible, I would like to make a contract with them though, it turns out it is fraud. Here is the excerpt of it.

  1. Wow.This just happened to me! He gave us the address and fake pictures
We drove by the house and there were people living in it! He gave the work transfer excuse to West Africa as well, and he left his number.A We called it and he said to see the house he wanted a 1800 deposit. HAAAAAAAAAH. there are some shitty people.

    1. Yes, Natalie,

That’s true. $1800 for deposit? Totally non-sense. It seems that if there is no contact info in the ads, 99% are scam. Be careful.

Thank you for sharing the info, Natalie. Have a good day.
